Built for Africa.
By Africa.
Moja started with one question: why does it cost so much to get help in Africa?
Every day, millions of people across the continent need answers. About jobs. About government grants. About their legal rights. About how to start a business. About how to appeal an eviction. About how to get their child into university.
They can't afford a lawyer. They don't speak the language the forms are in. They don't have a stable internet connection. They don't have time to wait in a queue.
Moja changes that. One AI, trained to help — in any language, on any topic, for anyone. Deployed on WhatsApp, so it works on the phones people already have, on the data they already buy.
We're not a tech startup trying to disrupt Africa. We're a team that grew up here, that knows what “load shedding” means at 3am when your child is sick, that knows the queue at Home Affairs, that knows what it costs to get an ID replaced.
Moja is free. It will always be free.Funded by organisations that want to be part of Africa's most measurable community investment.
Building Africa's operating system.
What we believe
Access to information and guidance should not depend on your income, your location, or the language you speak.
We respond in your language because your language is who you are. Not a limitation to work around.
Every conversation is logged, timestamped, and reportable. If we can't prove impact, we don't claim it.
A technically brilliant answer delivered coldly is useless. Moja is trained to be a friend first, an expert second.
2G connections. Mid-range Android phones. Load shedding. These are features to design for, not exceptions to ignore.
Moja will never charge the people it serves. Our business model funds the free product. This is non-negotiable.
